How to play
- Arrows move the cursor, 1 to 9 place a digit, 0 or Backspace erases, N or Space toggles pencil marks, H or X asks for a hint (costs points).
- P pauses.
On touch
- Tap a square, then a number on the pad.
- PENCIL switches the pad to small notes, X erases, HINT fills the square you are on and costs points.
Every run starts on the title screen. Pause any time with P or the pause button; calm mode removes flashes and screen shake.
Maker’s note
The daily set is three boards from the seed: easy (38 given digits), medium (31) and hard (about 25). Every board is generated and checked to have exactly one solution, and the easy and medium boards can be finished with no guessing. Score per board is 300, 400 or 500 plus up to 400 for speed and 150 for finishing with no hints; each hint costs 150. A board you cannot finish in time is shown and skipped. Typed digits are recorded as logical moves and taps as taps, so the server replays the whole run.
