Equate
Find the hidden eight-character equation in six tries. Green is the right character in the right place, amber is in the equation somewhere else. Three equations a run, and the daily set is the same for everyone.

How to play
- Type digits and + - * / = (x also types a times sign), Enter locks a guess in, Backspace deletes.
- Esc pauses.
On touch
- Tap the on-screen keys.
- Tap COPY after a round to copy your coloured squares.
Every run starts on the title screen. Pause any time with P or the pause button; calm mode removes flashes and screen shake.
Maker’s note
Every guess must be a true equation: one equals sign, no leading zeros, multiplication and division before addition and subtraction, and every division comes out whole. Three equations per run, six tries each, a 100 second clock per equation. A solved equation pays 100 plus 50 for every try you did not need, plus up to 180 for speed. The hidden equations come from the seed through a generator whose whole output (about 43,000 equations) is enumerated in the tests, each checked by a second evaluator, so the daily set is the same for everyone and always has a valid answer. Typed keys are recorded as logical moves and taps as taps, so the server replays the whole run. COPY gives you the result as coloured squares with no spoilers.
