Maker’s note
Lane-crossing games are a century-old idea: a gap, a stream of traffic, a nerve. We kept the nerve and rebuilt the river: pads that sink on a rhythm you can learn, gators whose bodies are bridges and whose heads are not, and sandbar channels where the danger is speed instead of water. Every frog has a clock, so lingering is the one thing the river will not forgive.
