Instructions
Beat Slice
Arrows glide in toward the ring, one on every beat. Swipe the way each arrow points as it crosses the ring. Every hit plays its note of a tune the day's seed writes, so the song is only as complete as you are.

How to play
- Press the arrow key (or WASD) the arrow points to as it crosses the ring.
- A mouse drag in that direction works too.
- Esc pauses.
On touch
- Swipe anywhere on the screen in the direction of the arrow, a short flick of about a thumb's width.
- Keep dragging and a second swipe follows.
Every run starts on the title screen. Pause any time with P or the pause button; calm mode removes flashes and screen shake.
Maker’s note
About 80 seconds long. The seed picks the tempo (96 to 128 BPM), the key, the arrows and the melody note each one plays; a backing beat and bass line keep time. Perfect (within 5 ticks) pays 100, good (within 12) pays 60, both times a multiplier that climbs by one every 10 hits in a row, up to x4. A missed arrow breaks the streak; slicing the wrong way through an arrow spoils it, and swipes with nothing nearby cost nothing. Charts keep arrows at least 12 ticks apart and never repeat a direction more than three times in a row. The best possible score is about 50,000 to 82,000 depending on the seed.
