Vael II is the original text adventure from the MIT-licensed source release of 2025 (github.com/historicalsource, commit 3da9661098809788a99cef00f00c865c6c204f96). The compiled story file is shipped as released, except that the names of the game, its world and its publisher were rewritten in place, four vulgar words were removed from the parser dictionary, and the header checksum was updated. Original game written by Tim Anderson, Marc Blank, Bruce Daniels and Dave Lebling. The interpreter (zmachine.js) was written for Eracade.
